Looks like someone is going to miss at least part of the work day Tuesday, huh @Mark
Yeah crunching those flight times and seems after the Noon 35 min NY area flyover they may rtb McGuire before
starting over again over Trenton at 1:45PM local.
Debating where I may go.. Up to KILG or over to the Delaware river area.
They haven't posted Baltimore or DC area schedule yet but assume that is coming up very soon.

Guys,

Do any of you hear the E-6s on ATC channels? I would think that they would have to contact the various Center freqs as they fly their missions.

I've never heard them but every now and then I do hear them with Shado Maintenance.

Maybe you've noticed KC-135 57-1419 hex AE04B0 flying around with the OTIS callsign?
I've determine that's actually C-130J 165810. It's correct hex is AE04A8.
They've got their octal programming off by one digit.
AE04B0=53402260
AE04A8=53402250

I'm not usually listening for them. Departing Pax they'll be heard on 133.9, as soon as at 5k ft. Though lately with all the ATC consolidation, who knows what they might be on.

133.500 when headed out over the Atlantic - usually notify ATC that they will be going due regard for xyz number of hours or they will coordinate their track with center.

I have heard them on various ATC, 125.450 127.700 for example. They are not usually descending or ascending so less communication is required when at assigned altitude and on flight plan track.

Terry,

Thanks for the feedback.

I have those freqs & other area ATC freqs in my rotation. Guess I've just been unlucky in snagging them.

Off topic but local ex Nike missile base for sale.Sure was a lot of them around back in the day.

Yea,

There's one just outside Annapolis close to the Bay Bridge. It's now a recreational park and a local playhouse/theatre. Locals still call it "the old Nike site".

In Virginia this week.
They checked into the Evers MOA on 298.35 and told ZDC they would be on that freq.

298.350 is Langley’s button 47 according to my notes. I also see they have 353.900 and 387.100 listed as ZDC primary and secondary for Evers, but I don’t know if those are old frequencies or maybe a different altitude check-in.
