Did anyone hear if OTIS 13 is dragging anything?
Noticed all week certain OTIS KC-130J's have been working all over the area.
Just noticed that VMGR-252 has 4 specials called HH+ models.. Maybe training on them.
Need to get the tail #s on these 4 specials sometime :)
Harvest HAWK + reaches full operational capability | NAVAIR (navy.mil)

Sure add some kick to the KC-130J.. Course don't see Hellfire's used on local ranges around here.
Course kit seen here now replaced by the HH+ system.

Guys,

Got this from a fellow listener in KY concerning yesterday's flight of E-4B Abide 55

It was part of a COG (Continuity of Government) exercise, Ron. He launched out of Georgia & picked up a C-32 (09-0017) that left DC, flew thru Tennessee & then turned back east. I thought there might be an exercise today, the 3-L net was going Tuesday & Wednesday, while the FEMA DACN was active Wednesday & Thursday.

Note: The 3L & FEMA DACN nets he mentioned are HF comms net designated for COG operations.

It was probably just a coincidence but there was also a GLF4 FENDY 99 on the same route for awhile.

Anyone know what the deal is with this GLF4 ? No markings, seems to fly on odd routes, doesn't show up on ADSB-X that often ?

Fendy 99 I C-20H # 90-0300 from USAFE | 86AW | 76AS Ramstein AB GE.

Maybe a coincidence and may have been going to CENTCOM ?

Other COG exercises have only been one E-4B & one 89th AS C-32 (one of the ones that also serve as AF1 or AF1 backup). The C-32s are probably chosen since they have the necessary comms suites to serve as COG stns.

Back in the day the 89th had four C-20B's that were specially outfitted for COG duty.

86-0201, 0202, 0203, & 0204 were known as SENEX acft meaning they were designated to evacuate Senior Gov't Officials (other than POTUS or VPOTUS) out of the DC area in case of emergency. They were outfitted w/special comms gear, etc.

They were decommissioned several years ago and haven't heard anything about the SENEX program since.
