Rgr saw GORDO 16 doing track laps around Lake Superior earlier on the American side.. Someone posted there was a Notam
for it trailing a wire. Rare you see E-4B testing out the long wire

A few years ago had Pax River E-6B inbound saying had to cut loose the wire over the Mid Atlantic as it would not
retrieve back.. Always wonder if some commercial fishing boat snagged it up

Somewhat off-topic but hopefully of interest
Two NOTAMs for yesterday which appeared to be for the E6 that is at Mildenhall (AE050D as SHADO77 on 25th). Inbound and outbound routes with an operational area. No mention of trailing their wire but surface to 250 is a bit of a giveaway

Activity around the E6 but then all went quiet and NOTAMs were pulled.
I missed GORDO (icao adress used please if anyone has it) but did note ADFEB6 as ABIDE99 depart Dyess for Wright Patterson
The E6 is due to return to Pax today
Another note on the adsbexchange kml download - I'd left that random aircraft selected when I turned in. Though it had obviously landed when I looked at the PC this morning it was still highlighted and the track download button still showing. Clicked on it and the download worked...the full track from Westover to Travis. Sneaky little trick if there is something you want to track but have to leave the desk!

Locally the 166AW Del ANG supposedly got another later H model C-130 from Kentucky 91-1233 but haven't seen it yet here.

RAX1502 Hex:AAF268 (LJ35) on it’s way to BWI reporting landing gear issues on 119.0. They are having him do a low pass to allow the tower to check him out. A emergency has been declared. Now handed off to the tower.

Guardrail was originally the name of the development program for the US Army's RC-12's SIGINT collection acftt fleet. Over time it has become the name for the aircraft in that program
