Think F-16 callsign is Banger.

Dixie 72 Working ZNY Westminster (323.3) & id as single KC-135 w/3 'ducks" in tow. Advises that there are two other KC-1356s that are in front of them and each KC-135 has four "ducks" in tow.

Ron - yeah I heard that too. Interesting not sure what is going on but I guess it will be quiet out of ACY for a while.
I can hear the controller on 323.3 on the UHF side (conditions must be good).

Terry,

Dixie just now checked in w/ZOB Imperial (363.075)

Dixie on 287.3 wants to know if F-16s want to hear Top Gun Theme song or the UAFS fight song.:D Dixie asks if F-16ds can take photo "of this old girl".

I was outside - an amazingly clear day, could hear but never caught sight of Dixie 72 or friends. It was within 3-4 miles of directly overhead.

F16s are hard to see in the clear sky at altitude. Even the KC-135 is fairly narrow fuselage wise.

Looks like the DIXIE group is headed to the southwest towards Arizona

Checking tape after work here and heard DIXIE-72 with 3 in tow on a Altrav direct Pennsy.
"We are on a Altrav our entire flight plan".. Rare you hear Altrav with domestic squad tanker callsigns.
Maybe some Desert training in the SW?
A few A/C F-16's did Nellis Red Flag already a few months back.. Guess more training.
