CIMEX 24 was steady at FL340 then overhead Miami they dropped down to FL260 momentarily then right back up again to FL320. Not sure what that was about ? Sector not covered by LiveATC. Googling CIMEX gets some interesting results. Maybe CIMEX = Civilian Military Exercise ?

Like my E-4B that disappeared for an hour a couple of days ago, I thought that maybe CIMEX 24 dropped down and turned off the transponder to go MARSA for air refueling as the receiver with another tanker.

But wait, looking at the Miami altitude dip, it was brief. Perhaps a temporary drop to avoid crossing busy South Florida air routes?

Playing it back on ADSB-X there was not a lot of traffic overhead the Miami area at the time. No obvious conflicts I could see that would necessitate a momentary 8000 foot altitude change like that. Strange.

1140- Looks like Teal 95 (WC-130J # 96-5302) in transiting our area heading southwest after a visit to NYC. Maybe heading home to Biloxi? Working ZNY Millville (134.325) for routing to destination. Also working ZDC Leesburg (133.975).

10:10 local HAWK-21 flight of 4 FL380 with ZDC High 353.950 direct Tyndall then push 317.725.No joy at first so went back and tried again.
10:40 local HAWK-31 flight of 3 with ZDC UHF FL320.Couldn't hear these guys as well.
Guess no tankers at those altitudes so prob with ER fuel tanks can make Tyndall in one shot.
I see PANDA-47 #00-0177 just departed Key West NAS looks to be rtb New York.
Guess will check out and fix their planes at Tyndall before moving onto Key West?

Notice now a ROMA-73 KC-135 out of McGhee Tyson went all the way up deep into Ontario and
now back Southbound thru Minnesota at FL350. Must have topped off a Westbounder up North.
Maybe the 4 Hill AFB F-35's?
ROMA-71 McGuire KC-10 #86-0027 now rtb McGuire from UK and also were up that way just South of James Bay.
