I missed this the other day working out of Pope AAF.

Anyone see a mode s on this tail?

I was tracking the P-3. Completely missed the U2, but one of my monitoring friends caught them on 257.9. Just checked my logs and the U2 did not ping here.

1536 local a couple fighters up on 260.900 assume for Camp CAP?
1556 Callsign MUDDY-41 on 260.900 so assume Ohio 180th FW F-16's for the CAP start.
1607 local MUDDY 41 up on tanker boom 247.050 "Thanks for the work"
1609 MUDDY-42 now on boom "nose is cold"

Seems they talk to ZDC center on UHF
From my log
\BOGEY 1 CAVERT UHF (281.40000) ON 12/1/2020\
BOGEY 1 ZDC20 BACKSTONE UHF (235.6250) ON 3/1/2021

Okay I must be confused because you reported this today,,,,,

"1333- BOGEY1 and ZOMBIE1 active on 157.1000 havent heard them on UHF yet today. Trying to get a recording"

ZOMBIE1 was a USCG helo out of Atlantic City

BOGEY1 was a Robinson R44 helicopter N441BJ (USCG Auxilary) as shown in the following link

Neither helo exceeded 4000 feet and both returned to Atlantic City after intercept practice. Both were on KACY 124.600 after 1400 local time requested clearance back to Atlantic City, N441BJ has since departed back to its base at Harrisburg Capital City Airport KCXY.

Intercept comms were on with Huntress 228.900. I could hear the ground side of Huntress on my PA site but not the USCG helo.
I could hear the USCG helo from NJ side but not Huntress.
