Better keep those launches going as China plans 40 Sat rocket launches this year.

Meanwhile over on radiochinareference.cn.......
"What do you mean we are only doing 40...the Americans are planning over 120 again this year. That's more in a single year than we have done in total since we started with Dong Fang Hong in 1970"

Numbers used this way aren't helpful or particularly meaningful. Good for politicians and defence contractors though.

Wait until SpaceX really cranks ups the launches - 40 a month maybe the norm.

How much you wanna bet it is N717VT ? Run that through the FAA N Number look up and you get an interesting message I've seen on other government agency civilian aircraft

I'd bet it's not. I don't see anything unusual. Address is Signature Flight support. Govt uses agency addresses or PO boxes. Govt prefers Cessnas. Low wings aren't good for surveillance. The govt turns off mode-S most of the time now.

A PA-28 was the first plane I ever flew in. N7859N

There is a CAP 3730 bouncing around between Philly and Chester County Pa.
Heard mention of Baltimore Avenue on 163.300

Yeah I think this aircraft has more capabilities than the usual CAP aircraft. I am hearing the ground units periodically via my PA site. They are not strong enough to convert the signal to voice but they are there on occasion. Here is the area where the activity is centered. Not a high crime area. Most kids there get BMW - Audi or Mercedes for their 18th birthday -- if you know what I mean.

Yeah this is either a military aircraft or DOJ law enforcement aircraft or private company similar to the one used in Baltimore. They are in a difficult traffic area if they are overhead the ground points - go up to high you bump into the traffic flowing into KEWR that flies directly over that area or too low and you bump into KPHL arrivals and departures. Could even be a drone. Nothing showing up on my screens here in NJ or the PA site and I only have one mode C target at about 6000 feet with transponder code 4420 but there are not enough ground stations seeing the target to do MLAT for mode A or C.

Yes just strange how I am hearing it all the way up here in Milford, Ct. with absolutely no band enhancements / lift. Must be several transmitters simulcasting. Heard Woodbine Ave & Montgomery Ave, and it seems like it is here:
