I wonder if they practice this break on Navy C-2's out at Wallops Island?

This is a clip from my video of Nighthawk One landing at the White House the other day. A few seconds in you'll see a puff of smoke on the right side of the helicopter. Is this the APU starting up, or something else?

p.s. the comment section is a bit mental on this one...



Yes it does for ground power. Someone asked the same question here (below). Started before shutdown of main engines so they know its operational.

I’ve recently have seen some posts on this forum of some of the Boeing KC-46’s coming from the factory.
Today here in Central Montana had BOE 942 & BOE 964 doing some AR testing.
They were using 238.825 for air to air/boom frequency. Haven’t heard them before, nor caught them on my airspy.
Probably will be heading for new home soon.
