Good to have you back Alan, hope you're feeling better soon!

Noticed this one in your log:

N404PA MTH4PA 09:46:46.656 B707-321B USAF

That's something different, at least to me.

Brian
It's the Project Paul Revere test aircraft that's based @ Hanscom, but does a lot of roadwork. Here's a nice pic and short article:

Paul Revere makes program history by taking part in Red Flag

Sometimes he orbits not far from my location while testing equipment. Often uses c/s REASEARCH 4 or 4PA.

If you google N404PA and you find lots of interesting stuff. His little brother is N105TB, a very modified Grumman G-1159.

Thanks Brian. That N404PA does a lot of flying. It's based at Hanscom Field in MA and does a lot of test flights but usually up through New York, into Canadian airspace and back, It's operated by MIT's Lincoln Labs and has a long history. You can Google it by tail number or even under an operation called 'Paul Revere' to find more.
<Sorry, didn't see John's reply for that aircraft.>

And an explanation of something else for others rather than reply to each individual email...
After posting what I did last night, I got a few emails all basically asking/stating the same thing - "for someone not feeling well, you put in a full day to log all those aircraft."
Nope, I didn't. Without going into a long explanation, I'll just say that all comes from an automatic logging program that is fed by equipment that I turn on in the morning and off at night. All I have to perform is a concatenation process at the end of the day. <Damn...I've always wanted to use 'concatenate' in a sentence!>

Added: I should have known that would result in more emails and questions. :)
The answer to all of them is: SBS-1

P.S. This site doesn't seem to remember my login anymore. I have to sign in every day now. I also no longer get email notification when someone leaves a reply on this thread as I always did in the past. Anyone else having these problems?
Oops...and haven't been notified of PMs either. Sorry guys.

A couple of good ones on the go earlier this afternoon. Unfortunately I'm down sick so the drive was interrupted by a visit to the doctor...8-(

1828Z 128.350 PT APP - MACE 91 (F-16CJ/DJ 157th FS SC ANG) - no doubt about SC ANG y'all... 12000'-11000'-2000' for the ILS app to rwy 1L @ Andrews QSY PT APP 335.500.

2006Z 119.850 PT APP - TREND 91 flight x 5 (EA-6B) - TREND 91 flight over to PT APP 335.500 TREND 94 flight to 5000' and also heard TREND 94 switch to PT APP 335.500 along with TREND 95 for the overhead to rwy 1R @ Andrews. Had TREND 91 written down in the logbook but overlooked it when posting yesterday...no wonder!

RETRO 71-74 should be going Oceanic via ACK and DOVEY at 1345z.

1328Z - 1347Z

BLUE 27 leaving RETRO 71 x4, who is heading to Chester VOR ... RETRO proceed to Putnam, Providence then Nantucket to meet BLUE 26. 1355Z rendevous @ ACK 260B270.

BLUE 27 RTB Bangor FL310.

They passed a Coronet msn number, which I realized now I neglected to log. I think it was East 136.

254.200 for interplane btwn both BLUEs & RETRO [no AR heard]
123.575 interplane for RETRO

Weather was major factor as they were literally just ahead of massive thunder-boomers that came thru the area ..... I almost lost power, but ended up with just lots of branches in the roads.

Thanks for the log, John !!

Here is short soundclip, the audio quality is not very good, sorry for that ...... http://www.dutchmil.nl/CE2008/Retro71.wav

The Coronet East mission number was CE074, that CE136 was for the A-10s the other day.

They were four brand-new Polish F-16s, and they should be departing to Poland tomorrow, flying through Dutch airspace.

Another interesting deployment coming up tomorrow, with five Prowlers departing from NAS Andrews
as TREND 91-95 with KC-10 GOLD 41 and KC-135 GOLD 42. Take-off at 1200z

Hope this is of interest,

René.

Late yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) had Baton 26 on her way back to Harrisburg. Female voice into here was LC on 295.400

Berkeley Springs

Freq correction, should have been 295.800 but this is not listed for any PA ANG units yet. Does anyone know if this is a new frequency for them?

Just a quick note to say another new C-17A is up and flying today out west. It's tail 07-7177 and is flying as RIDER 77. Too early to tell if it's coming this way or not. First detection of this aircraft was at 1124 our time.
