ZBW BOSTON46 sector freq change

Hi Mark, nope it is 126.225 for sure.

I posted this Nov 11 08

For those who follow such things:

I discovered by chance Wednesday that ZBW BOSTON46 sector has changed from 127.825 to 126.225. The uniform pairing remains 370.900.

An addendum: 118.425/277.900 pair for BOSTON46 sector spares also appear to be defunct.

Thanks Mark, these were indeed the Vikings. There was something wrong with Mazda 54, as he stayed in the block 9-10 together with Blue 01.
Mazda 51-53 continued in the block 170-200 on their own to NAS Jacksonville and worked Boston center on 290.300 and 299.700.

Should have a soundclip available later tomorrow for anyone interested.

Yep, it sure worked. It even confuses us here :) But we better stop this discussion here in public view, agreed. Thanks for your input.

Got a fighter type inbound from the west. Just now crossing ARMEL. 257.875>322.3
EXPERT-31

Anybody else getting static on the VHF side. EXPERT-31 is clear as can be on UHF, but commercial flights are bad.

I logged AE18BF from 1919 to 1932, but didn't get a buno.

Here's 166882
http://www.flickr.com/photos/burneraviation/3078708464/in/pool-884820@N20

I Googled "buno 166882".

Another plane I've being seeing most of the evening is N2VA VDOT.

2135- Here's an interesting one DEALER-402 C-130E 62-1862 (C/N 3826). It's descending.

History: 778th TAS, 1968; 464th TAW, 1968-70; 115th TAS, California ANG, 1974-81.
146th Airlift Wing California Air National Guard, Channel Islands ANG Station (Hollywood Guard) MAFFS Fire Fighting Mission Bird.

And I've got an unknown on Mode-S...AE1B8F...that might be that aircraft. Earlier, it was displaying VV166882 in the callsign block but that isn't in Scramble or anywhere else I know to look for a new BuNo.

1937: EXPERT 31 to Andrews Tower reports...3 down and locked for full stop runway 19L...on the TACAN final...have 3 down, cleared to land...349.0
MIght be a Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet from VFA-122.

Ref above: Thanks Travis. Google is my friend - I always forget that. I only checked the "official" websites for the BuNo. :)
*******************************

Ref the DEALER 402:
Bet it doesn't look like that MAFFS paint job anymore. It's doing the EVAC thing with Andrews the past few days and now belongs to the 61st AS at Little Rock.

Guy,

For those of you with SBS boxes in our area. The Northrop Grumman 757 testbed with upper set of wings is parked at BWI. It has a set of F22 wings over the cockpit roof. His registration is N757PA so you might see him on your boxes.

The last time he was here in 2005 he was quite active for a week or so with the Northrop guys. If it clears up I'm headed over to BWI to try and get a picture of him

Ron, the registration was N757A - no P in it. See #5006 above.

Unfortunately, he has departed BWI (at 0948) and is on the way to Amarillo TX right now. However, you can still pull up last night's flight on FlightAware (BOE57A) to see the racetrack patterns he was flying.

You would think that something that strange looking would result in a lot of chatter from other pilots. However, I heard no comments last evening when he landed at BWI.

I've still got him with full ADS/B. BTW, it's a GLF 5 these days. He traded up. He departed KILG already - to the north and then turned west in southern PA...eventually turning south toward home. He must have dropped off the DuPont rep - or just tossed him out the door while taxiing if he didn't get the sponsorship deal he wanted.

1307: That Russian IL-96 (RA-96018) is climbing out from Andrews. He's still using callsign SDM9005.
