In flight emergency

Just got 1427 hrs. Sword 01 calling GK stating Sword 02 has an in flight emergency, having an O2 problem requesting 1000ft.
Also, at 1444hrs. just heard 140.0750 FM P25 digital talking about getting the Alt. higher. And within 2 mins saw a military helo heading south over the del. bay. Not sure if it was them.
1535 hrs. 140.0750 FM P25 digital- "Thanks guys it went great, have about 1.5 hrs fuel, going to head back to Hagarstown. See you later"

Interesting.......I'm currently getting DEVIL & BANGER flts air-to-air on 140.075 (in AM) while working at the Warren Grove bombing range at 1540 local. Maybe because you're so far south (Cape May) you're getting that over the water from Maryland? Maybe another unit uses P25 on that freq.
Heard KILLER flts most of morning on various freqs with routine exercises.

Most likely N6321R Beech B300 of SNC.

1600- On ZDC 134.15, says they're playing with the boxes and wondering if center is seeing a different callsign. I'm still seeing FM37 on mode-S. Said they put up a 'CROOK' callsign and asked if that came up. Then advised that it would be CROOK71.

1605- Now showing CROOK71 on mode-S.

I take it that the P25 freq. is for testing. I checked the track, and the N6321R stayed over western MD, that is a far distance to get digital at 3-4 bars.

I had Colt flt and Axeman flt a few days ago getting gas from Steel tanker in the Duke MOA. I think Colt is also a Raven callsign? Had a Colt flt last nite getting gas again in Duke. They were on 259.400 Also had some other AR on 235.100 and some chatter from unknown on AR sec 282.700 There were alot of AR's that were hot last nite according to the SUA site. I had a few a/a freqs that i thought were from Ravens, but no chatter on them before or after AR. Caught them on exit with Cleveland Center on 353.850 Do you have any a/a freqs that you have heard them on when they are on the range? I think the range is too far for me to hear anything on the 283.100 Thanks

Thanks for the info Mark. I think i have the 266.600 Have to double check that. I think the others i had were in the 142-143 range? Do they also have the callsign Wardog? They seem to work in the Duke MOA alot.

Warren Grove Range busy all day again. Now using lasers, targeting vehicles, etc at 1630 local. Mostly DEVILs and BANGERs out of AC.

Some more interplanes for you Chris.......
F16s out of AC have been using 140.175 and 149.125 a lot lately. 138.25 & 138.3 use to be common although you don't hear them much lately using the 138's.
Caught the A10s out of MD yesterday using 293.2 and 266.6

Just heard unid w/ tail end of an EAM on 311.000 (1842 local). Missed callsign as he was fading at the end. Long shot but sounded like SLAVE HORSE?

Might have been CLAY BIRD given an earlier post from another list. He was up in New England area about an hour ago. Must be making his way South...

Thanks i will plug all of those in and see if i catch anything. Keep a ear out on 259.400 and 301.600 for Colt/Axeman/Raven for AR when they are in the Duke MOA. If you see a listing on the SUA page for the Duke MOA, its usually them.

thx!
I worked in Naval aviation (Peace Through Superior Firepower) in the mid 80s and I remember hearing about this, sort of like an urban legend ('oh yeah, they landed a C-130 on a carrier once, this guy told me...').

Just heard (1640 local) the tail end of a transmission from an unknown aircraft with Boston Center on 133.45 saying "...for AR 20." I'm keeping my scanner locked on 341.75 for the time being.
