Hey does anyone have any info on the mil helicopter frequencies locally? I would be interested in listening to carson specifically I have not been able to find any carson tower freq.

Thanks Elliot
PS Erik disregard PM thanks for the good info in the thread

Butts AAF:
tower: 125.5,229.4,239.3,41.5
Ops: 141.15
Metro (weather) 44.1
ATIS 108.8
Flight following: 38.35, 138.15
Listen to these carefully as the are"handed off" to new areas/sectors
for new frequencies, you should also be able to get some air/ground
frequencies.

Ok I have listened for about 10 min now and heard Stud51 flight of 2 talking to horseman at airburst about training ops using lasers. Targeting a train dicussing which end to hit first. Also heard an unknown flight Peak11? talking to bigfoot about diverting to cheyenne for a final target. This is awsome! I have never taken the time to listen, also heard congo63 on approach at KCOS any idea what CONGO is? Thanks to everyone for thier patience I hope to try to have some fresh info soon!

I'm glad your enjoying the Mil Air Comm's! =) Peak-11 is the Call Sign for the F-16's when they are flying an operation noble eagle mission. Bigfoot is the C/S for NORAD. Congo is the bird that drops the AFA cadets. You caught a great day to listen to Mil Air, they boys are flying high and that means we get to hear more of the action.

1400, Stud-51, flight of 4 took off BKF, but Stud-52's main gear door did not close right and was looked over and was confirmed, put gear back down and is returing IFE back to BKF. He is currently in an orbirt over BKF at 170K burning down enough gas to land.

1305, Stud-52 inbound BKF. Its gotta suck to plan a mission for an entire week, and to only fly in circles near the airport. No love for the ground crew ;-)

1330: Redeye-11, flight of 4, take off BKF. Not normal for them to fly on a Sunday, but I guess they are Broncos fans too! =) Their talking to the SOF on V1 139.300AM. 1412 is their TOT over Invesco. They are flying 10 mile legs over Chatfield at 7500'. Using 269.3 as a single freq to talk to Den App/Dep. One jet going over to 132.750 and then 126.2 to let local traffic know to "get out of their way."

The light was saying that his left main gear door didn't come up with the gear. And yes, it was the same jet from yesterday, kind of an expensive Ooops, we didn't fix it.
