Uniden remains committed to continuously improving and enhancing our digital scanner product line. In the past month, we have:
  • Released a major update to our BCD325P2 and BCD996P2 that:
    • Enhances the clarity of all digital audio
    • Enhances the handling of APCO P25 Digital systems for a better user experience
    • Adds support for a paid upgrade to add NXDN Digital Trunking capabilities
    • Fixed a few bugs reported to us by our loyal scanner users
  • Released a major update to our SDS100 and SDS200 that:
    • Helps to mitigate background noise in audio on the SDS200
    • Improves handling of RF interference under more conditions
    • Improved the scanner user interface
    • Fixed a few bugs reported by our loyal scanner users
Our users tell us that the improvements we’ve made to the SDS100 and SDS200 since launch have, in many cases, taken them from OK to superb. And, we haven’t stopped working. We expect to release additional performance improvement updates to our digital scanner line in the days and weeks ahead.

When it comes to receiving Digital Simulcast systems, which are becoming more and more widespread, the Uniden Bearcat SDS100 and SDS200 are the only scanners designed from the ground up for optimized reception of these systems. Since the latest updates, users report solid performance comparable to their expensive Motorola two-way radios. Other scanners, even our own other digital models, typically fail to meet the challenge of such systems. If you need solid simulcast performance, the Uniden Bearcat SDS100 and SDS200 True I/Q™ Digital Scanners are the only choice from any scanner manufacturer.
