I bought a 2096 for $188 that came with a scratch on the side and the problem it had when I turned it on was the global ATT was on so I figure that is why it was returned. Although the one I have is four years old it works great and decodes digital fine.

I bought a "refurbished" Pro96 from overstock 3-2-010 for $229.44 shipped), super fast shipping and the radio looks brand new, not a scratch on it anywhere. I love it, i use Win96 to program it. There was no programming cable came with mine, no orrigional box just the scanner, rubber antenna, ac to 9v PS etc. The Pro96 does not track 700mhz. good luck if you buy

Radio Shack has dropped their regular price for the Pro-106 and Pro-197 models. Now only 399.99 brand new. I know I picked up my 106 for that price but it was only a sale price then.

I think the Pro-106 is a WEB ONLY price for now. It was still priced at $499.99 in the stores. The desktop version, the Pro-197, is reduced in price to $399.99 in stores earlier this week. Look for the stores to match the web price shortly though.....
