While out for a drive scanning the ICORRS system in PA, my brand new SDS100 still looses a signal right between towers for about 100-200 feet. I was under the impression that the SDS100 shouldn't have that issue. My squelch is set to 2, not sure if that's important or not.

Try using the filters. Numerous members have had success with invert and wide invert. The best filter can vary by system. Try them all and see which one works best. You can also try the Remtronix REM-820S antenna. It works far better on 700/800 MHz systems than the stock antenna. You will suffer a loss on VHF performance which could be problematic with the 150 MHz Lawrence County system.

While the SDS series is supposed to deal with simulcast issues better than previous scanners (if that's what the issue is here), the SDS are still "hobbyist" devices as opposed to commercial radios. They will likely never perform correctly 100% of the time. And barely reach the same type of spec as commercial radios designed to operate with the system in question. Uniden has done the best they can do within the price range of the SDS series.

Also most state systems are designed to work mobile with permanently mounted antennas not handheld portable walkies or handheld scanners.
Right On..

What is the signal strength? "Right between two towers" could be a gap in portable coverage. Even the users of that system have "problem areas".

Are the two towers on the same control frequency of the same simulcast system, or a different site on a different control frequency?

I do have the REM-820S on. I currently have the Global filter,

The signal bars dropped to nothing when I was on a site hold through the area. This was between 2 towers on the Westmoreland West simulcast site. Right before and after the area on 22, I gained full signal strength back.

Might simply be a dead zone between sites. Do you have another scanner at your disposal you can compare it to?

What month is it?

What is the global filter set to? Global is just the 'default' filter setting for all favorite lists. It is set in the main settings page.

You can also have different filters set for individual sites, if needed.

Definitely a gap in coverage then. If you really need it you could add an external antenna.
