I have a question maybe someone could answer, it's regarding an event that occured this morning at the Circle D motel, and it's kind of bothering me. I was at McDonalds and I thought I heard what sounded like gunshots coming from the area around 07:45, followed by a what seemed like 8 or so police cars showing up with an ambulance. Does anyone know if there was a shooting?

Not sure, I just got up at 8:30 and I haven't heard a thing. I'll keep an eye on the Newspress to see if they say anything.

Just talked to a person in that area this morning and they said it was a suicidal woman. The person said SPD was shooting some type of weapon at here to make her clam down. That's all I know.

Yeah, because shooting weapons at people is a GREAT way to calm people down. LOL.

Depending on what she was armed with at the time, SPD has a variety of "SIMS" (less than lethal) options at their disposal outside of TASERS.

Edit to Add: What I was expecting, SPD utilized their less than lethal shotguns.
