Stillwater PD channel 5

Hello all,

I am in Stillwater and am seeking Stillwater Police Dept. channel 5. I know it is a simplex car-to-car frequency. I have looked on the very cumbersome FCC Web site and found nothing satisfactory. I got a list of frequencies from the city, but, naturally, it doesn't have channel 5.

If anyone has it, I would be grateful.

Unfortunately 460.525 MHz is the repeater frequency for SPD channel 3. What I am looking for is simplex, non-repeated frequency.

Ask K5MAR he's from that neck of the woods and I think he was a dispatcher for them at one time. Hes the Payne county expert...lol

Ohh come on guys! What's the big deal about channel 5 and sending it back and forth via PM? Mark why don't you just post on the forums for the rest of us to see? Do you actually think SPD is going to come to you home and arrest you for posting channel 5? I'm trying to move there in January and I would like to know what it is as well?

Whenever riding with an officer using channel 5, you hear about stuff they would rather "scanner jockies" (as they put it) not hear. Warrant services and all that kind of stuff.

Most cops tell me I don't need it, but don't seem to care that I want it. Then again, I'm not planning on SPD coming to pick me up anytime soon.

Yeah well that's a load of crap! If SPD doesn't want us scanner junkies or jockies or whatever they call the public, to hear the transmissions on channel 5 then that's why we have landline and cell phones as well as other forms of communication that we can't monitor. So is anyone going to tell us what Channel 5 is or what?

now if hes riding with cops and they dont mind him wanting the freq, why the hell is he asking in the 1st place,sounds like a game to me???? .... if and when i have kids they will be going to ou!

They use phones and their MDTs for that as well. But when youre out on a warrant service, it isn't really convenient to get your phone out and call another officer who may or may not have his/her phone on their person.

It's mostly for convenience and officer safety. You're lucky to ever hear them using it since they use it so little.

The cops aren't the ones that know the frequency. I know who's in charge of the radios and such...he's the one that told me he probably shouldn't give me the frequency.
