Today just before 8:30 am the Dispatch announced all units would switch to "Channel 5" at 8:30am, and there is no info listed for a FD channel 5 only 1,2,3 & 6. Anyone got any more info?
Stockton Fire again switched to Control 5 today (Aug. 24). I found the freq. It's 453.275. Also it's digital. Engine 12 was coming in weal, Engine 3 and dispatch were loud.

Stockton fire does have a channel it is 460.6000 that is sometimes referred to channel 6, which a radio or digital capable radio for interoperability. But they are still dispatching their calls on 460.625, and all tactical calls on 460.550....I could be wrong but this may help

I highlighted the word "still" in your post because that makes the statement untrue. I found that they were dispatching on control 5 for a couple of days and have since resumed dispatching on control (channel) 1.
During the time you speak of I have audio recordings of all the dispatching that Stockton Fire did during the time frame you speak of, and it was done off of Stockton Fire Channel One. I am not saying that they may have been testing another freq out, or they have been using this for training. I record all Stockton Scanner traffic daily and I have at least three years of archives and so I went back and played the files, and what I heard and listened to was done of the primary channel 460.625.
