I recently programmed my SDS 100 and 436HP radios for Brazoria County. I programmed all of the sites within the county, including the Fort Bend Simulcast. I got more hits with my 436HP, but so far, they are few. I know this county has more life than what I am hearing.

Any suggestions?

Check for Service Types you may not have enabled on the SDS 100

I thought I'd looked at these before I shot them in the radios. Yep, they were all checked. I guess the house I am visiting is shielded or something, LOL.

The minute I left the house, I heard Gulf Coast INTEROP 9 discussing someone who they were watching. I guess this sleepy little community of Angleton is still as boring as it was when I worked in the area, TDCJ.

Oh well. Thanks for the reply.

I am now sitting in a recliner in Angleton, Texas with my 436HP and SDS 100. Although both radios were programmed with the same Sentinel load, the 436HP is hitting on the talk groups much quicker than the "Snail On Librium" SDS 100.

I am using the site NAC codes in the profile of this radio. God, this radio is slow.

I am used to Houston, Texas, Fort Bend County & Waco radio traffic. Angleton reminds me of Sioux City, Iowa, boring as Hell. I thought I would hear much more action. Oh well. I won't be moving down here.

on the SDS100 what is your squelch set to? stock antenna or other? have you set up filters? Lots of unknown variables here.
If your SDS100 is terrible sell it and get a few more 436.
