stop the beep on search mode

Greeting,
I have a Radio Shack Pro 2042 receiver.
I am currently in a search mode for new frequencies
and have noticed it beeps every time that it reaches
the top of the search.
Question: How can I stop the beeping sound
(Other than put a insert in the headphone plug)

It's the owner manual.
Well, there are times where they leave thing out of the owners manual for many reason unknown.
That's what I am looking for here , The unknown.
