If you’re willing to take the drive up to Wanaque NJ, off 287 in Passaic County: “community electronics.” Dave is his name. Older gentleman, but it’s an electronics/computer, scanner and CB store.

I am not 100% positive he has it/in stock, but it’s a cool little store to check out.

Well if it was three or four decades ago, we could give you some pretty good spots in Jersey, PA and New York, two decades ago it would start to get a little dicey but somebody would probably have it, one decade ago, Maybe, but today???

I could go down memory lane and tell you about all the great spots from yesteryear. Those threads are always nostalgic but off topic.

You can try calling White Dot Electronics, just Google them, they are at Rt 206 and 38 in Vincentown, New Jersey, the last I heard besides running a soft serve ice cream store they did do stereo installation and CB repair and installation Etc in their parking lot back when CB was popular. They sold scanners and accessories, today I don't know but I understand the vanilla and orange twist is a really big hit.

You can also Google HRO in Delaware, they're not too far from the southern New Jersey border, pretty far from you, nice store to visit and if they have them in stock that's probably the only place I can think of that's actually going to have the radio available today on your day off. Having an open box unit, I don't know.

Probably your best bet would be to start googling in New York. You never know, maybe somebody in New York City or Long Island.

It was sad for us all to see the brick and mortar stores go but for them to keep expensive scanners in stock, a few at a time, it's hard to make a profit and keep the lights on when you're competing with the online scanner dealers who buy the scanners in bulk.

Best bet is to use a reputable dealer online who have a 30-day money back guarantee. Be very careful with custody of the packaging, if you're not satisfied then you can just return it, you may or may not have to pay a restocking fee.

Good luck to you and let us know if you're able to purchase a SDS 100 today, I'd like to hear about the store you get it from.

So I checked this out the best I can, the listing for the store Advanced specialties shows A well-stocked store and I noticed that there were brand new in the box PSR 500's for sale LOL.

I know they do have an Amazon store. I did see a notice in their catalog to look for a change in location to Long Beach, Long Island, New York.

I called the old familiar number, got answering machine that said they're open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday but if you get this message we're not here now. I saw another source say that they are open on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m... again I don't know if this is a online store but anyway..

If somebody local in Jersey could confirm whether or not this brick and mortar store is open on a daily basis could you please chime in. If so I would like to visit it.

Again I was under the impression that it had closed. Thanks in advance.

Store is open as advertised. He does a lot of business online that keeps him very busy. I bought most of my scanners from that store since 2003.
Thanks for the replies guys, you have answered my question @Markscan. I could have sworn they had completely closed, I might plan a field trip as I am directly across from the Delaware River from the city of Trenton so it's a bit of a drive. Love to see what he's got, could be a treasure trove.. I have bought many things from that store years and years ago.

Original poster, it wouldn't have helped you LOL, I wouldn't drive there unless he answered the phone and was open for sure.

Is Dave still even in business? I remember when he was in Fair Lawn.

Went past today, Store is has a for rent sign in the front window and outside the strip mall.
Yeah from what I've heard, that makes sense. Thanks. I was wondering.
