It was a crazy storm here in Boulder. Right above the Flatirons, some clouds were going East, while others were going West. Right before the storm, I saw a weather baloon go up just to the South of me. I new once I saw that, it was going to be a nasty storm. The streets here are covered with leaves that the storm took out.

Are you saying your 996 is already smoked? Damn!

Nasty storms in and around the metro area and Denver SkyWarn is MIA.

As usual the storms missed Greeley. The Cow Smell (from the stampede?) must have made them turn away.

Looks like some more may be heading out of Wyoming as of this post.

Phil.

I don't have a pro 96, but when there is lighting around I always unplug the antenna I have up on the roof. My luck says it would get hit, then I'd have to go see Erik....

It was a non event here in Greenwood Village, it rained hard for about 15-20 minutes. I was hearing what it was doing up in boulder and I thought it would be much bigger and badde-bad sp?-.

Not if you're not connected to an external antenna. And I'd run it off of batteries. :)

city of Boulder is reporting large damaging hail and heavy flooding
Brodway and baseline

I was at a party tonight at the Stadium Club at Folsom Field. I had no sooner gotten inside when all "hail" broke loose. Pea- to marble- sized hail, some a bit larger.

What was wierd was the length of time it hailed. I'm used to it hailing for a few seconds to a few minutes; this storm had constant, blizzard-like hail for at least 20 minutes.

It was a terrific vantage point to watch the storm...
