Pretty sad monitoring fire comms just north east of Edmonton today. Many homes, live stock and equiptment lost in a series of major brush/grass fire(s) The winds are no doubt a factor why the fire(s) spread so quickly and out of control.
Every fire / mutual fire radio channel east of Edmonton is active working the fire tonight.
The winds are finally calming down allowing fire fighters to get the upper hand.
