Looks like SCPS is moving back to MotoTRBO at any time now. There has been sporadic testing on their channels the past week, with fairly steady testing yesterday (sounded like at one point they had the digital channel and the analog patched together too). I heard an officer do a radio test today and he said 'I guess we will stay on analog for today'. Not sure if they still aren't satisfied with the digital or more testing is to be done..... but it sounds like the end is near for analog. Again. :(

142.3350 will still be the primary frequency, only now it will be digital. 143.585 is the other channel I believe (which has always been digital that I've heard).

I would expect they will be back to digital within the next day or two by the sounds of things. Oh well, at least their MotoTRBO disaster bought me almost another year of listening :)

It won't matter. MotoTRBO isn't receivable on any scanner currently made. The digital scanners being offered are for P25/APCO/IMBE digital only. They won't work with MotoTRBO, NXDN/NextEdge, Pro Voice, AEGIS or any other digital format.

Strathroy is still running analog, for the most part. I noticed last week that dispatch was analog, but the officers were digital (everyone has been analog again the past few days). They also seem to have 142.3350 and 143.4450 patched together (142.3350 is 100% analog, 143.4450 is 100% digital).

And it looks like they have flipped with switch once again. All comms on 142.3350 are TRBO digital. Fingers crossed they will still be unhappy with it :)

yes I hear that digital signal very strong on 142.3350, a very sad day, yesterday I heard on officer say, to send all the radio's in for repair, I think this is it for Stathroy for a while until some thing comes out, all I,ve got now is the local taxi and Ham [storm chaser's] during a severe storm.
Any way's I just unpacked my brand new Grecom PSR-600c out of the box, very expensive, but to get started is there any way that you [Forts] can send me your program?

Thanks Forts, put in your file and the 30 day free trail program installed on that program then into the PSR-600, it came alive and running, it's a great scanner, pluged in scanner to USB, when I built that computor all those USB's I thought will never need, but it's full now all 8 of them. Scanner very nice, easier to program at least some channels before I got your file. Question,I want to put in Ham 145.4500, were do I put that in on the program PSREdit. Also is it possible to to set the scanner so that it alerts us with emergency beep siren during a severe storm from enviroment Canada, then goes back to normal scanning, how do I do this?

To program 145.4500 just create a new conventional obect, and assign it to a scan list (or just remember it's object ID and you can call it up directly). I use the favourites list for stuff like that.

For the weather alert I believe you need to put the scanner in standby mode on one of the weather channels or use Weather Priority mode. If you use Priority Mode, the scanner will sample the weather channels every so often checking for the sever weather alert tone. Be advised though this this will create some 'clipping' or choppyness in other transmissions when the scanner jumps away to check the weather frequencies.
