I like listen to my radio at work, however I get no signal at that location. here is how I listen now. I have my scanner at home feeding audio to my PC. I'm using shoutcast server to serve the audio. with my phone (xv6700) I use tcpmp to tune the stream. I can also listen with the bluetooth headset and keep the phone in my pocket. consider getting a unlimited data plan for your phone so you won't have a lot of $$$ on your bill. it works pretty good so far. only bad part is there is a noticable delay (up to 2-3 minutes) which isn't really a big deal anyway. I imagine there are other streaming servers that don't have the delay would be better suited for this task. I really like the fact that no matter where I go I get 100 % reception quality.

I use voip softphone called eyebeam which does an auto answer. if I am at work or come across something interesting I can call into my scanner and listen to what is going on using my cell phone and bluetooth.

I want to find a web interface so I can turn banks on and off via the phone too.

you can use WinamPAQ on your PPC or Windows Mobile phone to stream from ShoutCast...
before I got 2 digital scanners, I used to use it all the time. it worked great just using the wireless on my Dell Axim x50v.

Sweet. I was looking for something like that recently but didn't come across that software. Thanks for including the link.
