I would strongly suggest Broadcastify place at minimum a 15 minute delay on the Re-broadcasting of public safety communications. When I think about Broadcastify I have a Napster flashback. Does anyone remember Napster, they thought they had a legal right to operate, after all they were just sharing files.

Rebroadcasting Public Safety communications, I believe, is a violation of Federal Law, that's why I don't provide any type of feed to Broadcastify. Just because its happening over the Internet, doesn't mean the law doesn't apply, just ask the people that ran Napster.

Just my opinion... Better to play it safe, than to end up in Federal Court...

Anyone else feel the same?

I doubt it, it's just one user expressing concern over possible legal liability... Nothing more...

Obviously you are relatively new here and you are bringing up a subject that has been beaten to death many, many times over. The folks running this site are not oblivious to the laws and regulations governing what can and can’t be done.

Have a read here, from the CEO of Radio Reference:

If you use the search feature on these forums, you will find many lengthy threads completely covering the subject.
