It's to test how many mutual aid strike teams can arrive at any location along the I-25 corridor within 90-120 minutes of the request. The State will use the data to determine what resources / funding might be needed to improve the overall response. There are already several pre established strike teams / task forces in the metro area that are available for all hazards response if requested. The team leaders & engines bosses also benefit from training and can sign off task book items.

The most common use would be a wildland interface fire but any disaster that is beyond local control would benefit from the resources. These teams will fill the gap between a local and state or federal response.

That's a good possibility. Each team is supposed to have a local channel they use to meet up on.

I heard a drill on Larimer County Mutual Aid-2 last month I think which was here in Loveland. I missed this drill. Will they be at the Budweiser Event Center on the 13th as well?

Yes, although not as many Engines will be participating in the drill that day. The request will come at 10 am and the Strike Teams should all be there within 2 hours.
