Working fire on the third floor rear of the ShopRite supermarket (Tea Street).

Sta. 30 in as FAST team...

19:40 - Ladder co. captain reports heavy fire on 4th. floor hallway with extension down to the third floor of the mezzanine.

19:46 - BBFD Chief ordering interior crews to evacuate - roof involvement confirmed. Finderne & Elizabeth Ave aerials beginning master-stream operations.

20:10 - Friends on-scene state that it is possibly the senior-citizens housing complex behind the ShopRite, not the supermarket itself...

20:50 - 5 ladders & 3 monitors in operation - BBFD 23-C1 reports 'doubtful' for control of fire on 4th floor. Somerset County Fire Coordinators actively working the site & reporting majority of body of fire is knocked down (20:54).

4 Story Apartment building under construction (for a very long time). Top two floors of a 200 X 85 four story unoccupied frame construction well involved in fire.
