Stucture Collapse and 3 alarm fire at Carroll County Station 12 (Sykesville)

Carroll Station 12 has suffered a roof collapse and resulting fire, which has gone to 3 alarms. Units from Carroll, Frederick, Howard, and Baltimore Co. have been battling the fire in the office and hall area of the station all morning. BGE is having trouble securing the gas to the building.

I also heard mention of a roof collapse at the Pikesville Fire Station in Baltimore Co.

Fire houses are not fairing too well under all this snow.

On Wednesday, Fire Station 6 on Sollers Point Road in Dundalk was badly damaged in a fire that began after the roof collapsed. A brand-new $600,000 fire engine that had yet to be put into action was among several emergency vehicles that were damaged, possibly beyond repair.
