Is anyone else getting sub-par reception, with the x36HP in the Air band? Seems my 996xt/396xt and my 2 HP-1's are blowing it away, using same antenna's...I am in a MOA (Military Operation Area), so is usually fairly active...

I haven't tried it on my 536 yet, but it works quite well on my 436.
I think most "digital" scanner radios are optimized for operation on the 800 MHz band, as that is where they're used most often.
I picked up a new BCT15X on Ebay for $160.00, and dedicate it to VHF/UHF aircraft. Works great! That keeps the BCD536HP available for public service on 800 MHz P25.
