I have a favor to ask of all who submit data for the rr.com data base:
Plz bear with me for a minute or two.... I have pondered over a few submissions lately because the information was difficult to decipher and thus some of it wasn't entered into the data base because it didn't make sense. Take a look at the columns above each of the categories in the data base, let that be your guide.
You'll see:
Frequency Input License Type Tone Alpha Tag Description Mode Tag
Ideally your submission will have as much of this info as possible (I don't mind, in fact love, looking thru the FCC data base to fill in the blanks) but the more info you provide the better the data base becomes.... Output tone is crucial (to aid in further identifying the freq when in use for scannists who are in an area with a number of agencies using the same freq--Shelby SO and Powell SO use the same freq and without a tone in Lexington it is sometimes a little difficult to who is speaking), but if you can't don't get it that is okay, too. Input tone is useless and I won't post it unless it is for a frequency where some of our users are authorized to transmit using that information (SKYWARN and HAM info is the only place I'll enter this info).
When something is submitted include a note about what is changing, etc so it will be obvious....
154.44500 153.83000 WPUL728 RM 131 DPL Vrs FD DSP Versailles Fire Dispatch FM Fire Dispatch
corrects FCC license, updates tone to DPL
or:
154.28000 WQBA760 M 141.3 PL BERT TAC Blue Grass Emergency Response Team FM Fire-Tac
adds new listing
if all you have is a freq and a use, that is fine as well.... I'll see what I can find in the FCC that helps further identify what is coming in... plz include an email address or make sure your PMs are activated in case I have a question...
I really appreciate all the work monitoring and submitting by everyone across Kentucky, you see your work every time the state outline turns green and a county lights up.... they don't have to be perfect, just organized a little to make it a little easier on this near-sighted, arthritic old guy to enter your findings.....
thanx a bunch.....
