We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

I was looking at the new Expiration date. I noticed that the date keeps changing.

A few weeks ago the date was in May 2007. Then about a week later, it showed April 19, 2007. Today it shows April 16, 2007.

Why does the date keep decreasing? I would think the date should stay the same?

Not complaining, just curious.

Still Matt is right, it is a fair question, even if he does not have to worry about it. Mine is still In Jan/2008 but I think it may have gone down a week or so also. I am not complaining either but if it keeps decreasing makes one wonder.

Hmmm, Matt is right, I seem to have lost another day from yesterday. I was at Jan 11/2008 yesterday and today it is Jan 10/2008.

This is not a huge deal but it would be nice if LIndsay or another administrator would comment on what is happening.

Folks,

I just reviewed the code that determines subscription information, and I've identified a number of mistakes that I've made in the calculations.

Bear with me as I update the code and fix the bugs -- in the mean time the subscription information will be removed from the Your Account section until I can get it updated and fixed. Bear with me as I fix it, and I'll update everyone shortly on the progress.

Thanks!

Hi Lindsay

Well I originally started with a expiry date around the middle of Jan/2008 and now you have it set at this date: Subscription Expires on: Dec-22-2007

Payment Amount Payment Date Payment Effective Date Days Purchased Exp Date

10.00 Dec-21-2004 Jul-01-2006 180* Dec-27-2006
20.00 Apr-30-2006 Dec-27-2006 360* Dec-22-2007

* indicates bonus days received for donation prior to 2006-07-01 00:00:00

Subscription Expires on: Dec-22-2007

Figuring out your more than generous back credits, I calculated that I had 540 days. That is more than fair to me considering that P.P. takes a cut out of the donations.:(
Hopefully it will stay at the present expiry date now. Will keep an eye on it.:)

Thanks Again

Randy

There were probably some miscalcuations in the previous code, however they should have been fixed.

The amounts should match up to 18 days of total subscription credit per dollar for folks that donated money prior to 7/1/2006.
