I had a good time this evening from 0200 to 0245 UTC. I caught SW signals from Turkey, South Korea and Madagascar. Used the Qodosen DX-286 and a retractable wire (indoors) to find most of them. I checked to see if the Tecsun PL-660 could get them, and it mostly could, although not as well. The last one, from Kimjae, South Korea, I got out the XHData D-109WB, and it tuned it just as well as the Qodosen did. All three radios are pretty sensitive. Propagation is excellent tonight.

I did pretty well last night. Conditions were pretty good. I'll be hopping on in a little bit. I picked up Japan really well including Radio Nikkei that is usually hit or miss for me here in Hawaii.🤙🏻

I'm in the Chicago suburbs, not to far from Todd Erbert. Definitely not looking like Hawaii here now!
I grew up on the East side diwn. Y tge Indiana state line. Then I moved to Wisconsin when I was 17 so we know about tge cold. We have been in Hawaii for six years now. We certainly don't miss the weather.

I wish I would have started my interest in radio back then but I am learning a lot. 🤙🏻

It seems like you know a lot more than I do about radio from your videos. I like the covers with the descriptions for some of your radios too, they must be custom made.

Not really, I am very new and learning all the time.

Yes, I got the covers from a company in Michigan. They have covers for many many radios already made. I just added my nickname. Oddly they didn't have one listed for the DX-394 but they made it for me. They are only about $25 depending on what you want. Great company to work with. 🤙🏻
