I was able to download and unzip the version 1.07.03 update and with the new cable I bought, I was able to successfully flash the BCD996XT's memory.
It got late so I quickly looked over FreeScan's hook up to my scanner, but I see I'm still going to have to do
some reading of the scanner's operation first. I'm happy that at least the scanner is at least updated first.
