I tried to post this on the Homepatrol site but for some reason cannot login to that forum.
Suddenly and without reason, my Uniden Sentinel software isn't working correctly. I have a number of Profiles created, each containing a number of Favorites Lists. The problem can be best described by another HP owner when he wrote some time back:
"For some reason, my profiles have all ended up identical and I'm not sure how/why. Each time I open a different one or create new, it's the same as the previously opened one. If I save an existing profile as new, and delete a Fave, the Fave gets removed from all profiles. So any changes made on one profile are saved among all profiles, resulting in them all being identical. All previous profiles I created containing different Faves, are gone."
The names that were given to the Profiles remain unchanged but all the Favorites Lists that were contained within are now the same as the last one opened or downloaded from the radio into Sentinel. In short, I end up with (5) Profiles with different names that all now contain the same exact Favorite Lists.
To make matters even worse, when I have a profile opened in Sentinel and then proceed to do a new download from the HP-1, instead of updating and displaying just the files that I just downloaded, Sentinel simply merges the newly downloaded Favorites with the Favorites from the previously displayed Profile. That's real useful.
Yes... I have the latest firmware and Sentinel 2.02. Yes.... I have deleted and downloaded and reinstalled the Sentinel software again with the same problem remaining ( I have reinstalled twice with no joy). There are no other problems with my PC or other programs. All else is runing fine.... except Sentinel.
Has anyone else heard of such an issue and what is the solution??
Also..... If UPMAN happens to read this; how do I resolve not being able to login to the HomePatrol site? The site won't accept my username/password nor will it accept an attempt to re-register. The pages just sit there, dumber than me. The site has no email option to contact anyone in the event you're having trouble and can't log in.
