Anyone know exactly what plans are in the works? The 800MHz P25 "phase II" simulcast is up and running and appears to have county wide coverage but currently transmitting in phase I. its an easy system to navigate considering its a mirror of the current SmartZone system. Same ID's just in p25 mode. The 700Mhz side has me stumped. Dead with no activity. I thought this system was supposed to be done years ago but I guess money has made it rough. The system still has hundreds, if not thousands of analog radios on it, a majority are MTS2000's and the XTS/XTL's on the system are likely still RB models. Cant picture them in full p25 for quite a few years.

Then there's East Hampton..... LOL

I am wondering when I will have to buy a new scanner. I've been using the Pro651 or at least 6 years, possibly more.
Isn't Nassau encrypted? IDR if my scanner can do phase II. I also heard Suffolk would go encrypted but it makes sense if nassau is already.
