Heard from a reliable source that Suffolk county is going FULL encryption in 2029. im so upset

We’ve been hearing these “sources” for years now. What is significant about year 2029?
We have it, it's just not associated with the like button.

🤔🙄 I think I felt a few years of my life fade into the void with this one.
Just so everybody knows eventually the whole entire world is going to go encrypted anyways just saying
On April 13, 2029, the asteroid Apophis will pass close to Earth. It will be visible to people in the Eastern Hemisphere without the aid of a telescope or binoculars.
Guess they dont want us to know anything about it.

On a side note I see the Suffolk Co 700 East site is active now just haven’t heard any traffic on it. Anyone catch anything yet?

Not show up as a neighbor to 700 west (site 3) or 800 Simulcast (site 4). Are you in range of the East Hampton system? If so, do either of those sites show 700 east (site 9) as a neighbor?
I only have a G4 to monitor but am getting a RFSS of 1 and showing site 9 with a CC of 774.16875. WACN of 781824 and system ID 974
Outside my reception area. Will fire up lna and yagi later.
Any luck with 700E site ? Still haven’t heard a peep hoping I’m not picking up somthing else and it’s falsely telling me it’s info, it’s done that before when I set the wildcards
I’m not at my computer right now, but I will check again on if any new neighbors are being displayed. I really don’t have any doubts that it is on the air.
