Suffolk FD's getting their own 800MHz freq's ??

anyone have any inside info about some suffolk county FD's getting their own 800MHz channels ? ive seen a few dept's recently getting licensed for 800Mhz Freq's that are not on the new or old county trunk system , but nothing listed in the databases yet ??

Unless they are used, you won't find them in the RRDB.

No. Some have licensed conventional 800 MHz frequencies. See my previous post where I listed them.

Note that these licenses are not exactly new as the OP states, but rather date back to 2017 and 2018.

East Hampton uses 800 conventional as fireground operations due to the fact that all of their dispatching is done on 800MHz. Makes sense to utilize the same frequency range so not to change radios. Everything (public safety wise) in the town of EH is 800.

Setauket FD is currently using their 854.0625 / DCS 134 as a fireground channel right now at their working fire at stony brook college

Phil , the database update is incorrect, the 854.0625 is a Setauket FD freq , not stony brook FD

Corrected.. FYI, this is also licensed to Stony Brook under the same call.
There are several 800MHz frequencies under this license. Makes you wonder if those are other channels in the FG List.

Just remember that confirmed info should be submitted to the database via the submission process, not through the forum. That's not to suggest that you can't post anything you want to in the discussion forum, but the practice of adding info to the database based on forum posts is discouraged for a couple of good reasons.
