For Suffolk police, a"CC" is a job number from central communications. And I think all talk groups are still in multiples of 16, so could've 56179 be a UID not a TG?

That's correct, Motorola Type II talkgroups are evenly divisible by 16. Any TGID that is not evenly divisible by 16 is a Status Bit.

In this case, 56179 is a status bit of TGID 56176, which is the 5th Pct Dispatch. 56179 is 56176+3, which means it's a patch to another TG, probably Parks PD.

TGID 56176 - 5th Precinct and TGID 60848 - Command Band (which is used by SC Parks PD for dispatch) are patched on the midnight shift from about 2345 hours to about 0745 hours, so based on the prior post, you should hear SC Parks PD on TGID 56179 during the patch. Thank you Chauffeur6 for the info.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; DROIDX Build/4.5.1_57_DX8-51) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

There was a post on w2lie that they run the 5th on command at night because it is the least busiest. It was a cost cutting move.
