Has anybody figured out what kind of trunked system Sugarbush Resort uses now? Also does anybody know of a good guide as how to figure out a trunked radio system? Sorry I am new to these complicated systems. I would love to be able to hear what is happening up there again, but I am over my head with this modern stuff.

The frequencies are still active but they got a new system about 3 years ago. Now I cant hear anything but random noises.
Thanks for the link!

yes, they are Motorola MotoTRBO (DMR) trunking now. see below ! If you have a digital scanner capable of monitoring DMR frequencies, you can monitor it.

this Radioreference database freqs has the 5+ year old channel plan. Here is the updated system specs:

Trunked freqs - Capacity Plus - Single Site TRS (Facilities, Lifts, Ski Patrol, Snow Making/Grooming, Lodging):
464.5250
464.6750
464.7750
464.8750
463.4875
463.8125
464.2750

simplex mode:
464.5500 simplex D-244 Ch.09 Ski School
467.5875 simplex 97.4 Ch.12 FRS 9-11

Looks like I need a new scanner. Looking forward to learning this new radio sorcery! Thank you so much!

your welcome. The only item I don't have an answer for yet, it whether they have enabled encryption. A year ago, when I listened to them, they were in TRBO trunking (digital clear).

The new scanner seems to be working. I still have to learn how to figure out talk groups, But I am hearing them again! No encryption. I had never even heard of DMR before. I never would have figured that out. Thank you so much!

No problem & your welcome. Next time I'm up that way, I will program their freqs into my Uniden BCD996P2 scanner. I have the Kenwood NXDN & Motorola MotoTRBO (i.e. DMR) software options, so I can not only listen in conventional mode, I can also trunk track their TRBO digital system as well. Though I don't think I can see their talkgroups on my scanner front screen (or maybe it will).

I just found some of my former notes:
464.5250 Trunking Rptr 1 (2 talk paths, i.e. time slot 1 & 2)
464.6750 Trunking Rptr 2 (2 talk paths, i.e. time slot 1 & 2)
464.8750 Trunking Rptr 3 (2 talk paths, i.e. time slot 1 & 2)

all freqs/transmissions should be using "color code 1", i.e. "CC 1"

I got the DMR upgrade and can see talk groups and ID's on screen. I am unable to put id's into groups that I can turn off/on the scanner. However I believe this is a compatibility issue with freescan beta and the BCD325P2 scanner I purchased. I think If I purchase uniden programming software I should be able to put the Id's I can see into their respective groups Using a TRBO system. (Lifts Patrol Snowmaking ect)

Either way it is working and I am stoked! Thanks Again!
