I did a search for my Uncle's call but the FCC Database does not go back that far.

The ARRL WAS map is pretty clear about the callsign areas:

OK Boss, do it the easy way and look it up on the map. I did it the hard way by memory.

BTW shouldn't the database pull up the call, vanity or otherwise, if it were active?

You sound like guys I hear on the air speculating about this or that fact while they are sitting in front of a computer or holding a smart phone that could easily provide them the information.

Yep, and I also used to be the guy that drove tractor trailers trying to find places while looking it up on a big spiral bound map instead of a GPS in 2007.

No kidding yes I used to do that also !!! Drove a limousine for a Chicago limousine service using a spiral map know exactly what you’re talking about
