Hi,

Getting back into hobby after a long, long time away, and trying to update all
my lists, etc. Have a new BCD 436.

I have looked at the Middlesex frequencies, etc, and have grabbed many of them.
Also for my Town too, of course.

Would like to ask, though, regarding what's "active" in my area, and want to be sure to have:

Live in Sudbury, just N. of Framingham.

What MSP frequenc(ies) do I want to be sure to have ?

Same question for NEMLEC ? What's is NEMLEC ?

Frankly not too particular; just enjoy listening.
Any others that I want to be sure to have, like, e.g.:
RR
Other Law enforcement

Any idea what the Sudbury Highway Dept. uses ?

BTW: do I only have to put in the CC using Sentinel, and not worry about Talkgroups or anything else ?

Much thanks,
Bob

NEMLEC and BAPERN are the Law Enforcement Mutual Networks.
Good if you want to hear town-town exchanges of info (BOLO etc)

Metro Fire is the Boston Area Mutual Aid where in your Area you want the Fire Dist 6 and 14 channels

MSP - give the low band a listen, there is still (altho limited activity)
For the 800, use either Zone 5 or Zone 8 as your right on the border of A/H and C-Troops
I would say for now just enter the TG's 1-3 for A, H and C troops, worry about the others, if your interests expand.

Yes, you need the CC's , however unless you want to listen to MEMA, Environmental Police and others as they pop-in, do enter the TG's, atleast that way you will have them alpha-tagged and not have to look them up very time to figure out who is who and what.

Active is an Open word. Active to someone might mean it is used. Active to someone else, might mean Non Stop activity :)

Why is this guy always "getting back into the hobby" when he posts? This has gone on for several years IIRC?

You noticed that too. I stopped replying to his spam like questions years ago. It should keep Bill busy helping him, though.
