I was told by IPSC (the state agency that operates/administers SAFE-T) that they will never be switching to Phase II
I am guessing that if IPSC has taken this stance, that they will still eventually go to phase II, even if it takes another 5 to 7 yrs. In that all of the sites will be upgrade to dual phase and as all the radios are upgraded to dual phase, there will come a day when no one will be broadcasting in phase 1 anymore.

I am trying to run ProScan on my new SDS200 and I have connected the mini USB cable ( that came w/ it) to it & my PC. But I must be missing something b/c it sure doesn't work. The Proscan manual talks about a driver, I didn't even know that a simple USB cable needed a driver??????????? The status reading in the lower left corner of Proscan says "COMM PORT Open, Port 9, Baud Rate 115200" I am guessing that means it is connected, but noting in the software works & the software scanner screen has nothing on it.

You do mean micro USB, yes? Plugged into the port in the lower right-hand corner of the front of the scanner? When you turn the scanner on, do you get asked if you want serial port or mass storage, and you picked serial port?

If so, then start up ProScan.
Click on the "CommPort" tab.
Click the "Auto Detect" button.

Does it find it?

If not, then what version of Windows are you running?

No, I am plugged in to back micro USB port
Use the front USB. The rear USB port is non functional.
This page contains the driver. See the Windows Serial Drivers section. The page is written for the 536 but is the same driver for the SDS200. BCD536HP < UnidenMan4 < TWiki

I can't even figure out which knob or button to choose with & it keeps going to that GD mass storage.
The scanner automatically goes to Serial Port mode and not Mass Storage mode if you don't press the "E" button or any buttons.

Thanks for the help. Just like all other scanners & programing software the first time you use them, after sc***wing around for 3 hours, reading the manual & watching youtube vids on it., I somehow got it programed. But I'm going to have to edit my scan list, b/c somehow I have a search programed into my scanlist. Can someone tell me where in Sentinel to remove that.
