The Sulphur Tower, site 418 was in site trunking for a week. They were using 8 Tac 92. They should be back to their normal channel and at this time they are not using encryption.

What is 8 Tac 92. I looked in the DB for Calcasieu Parish and did not see anything listed for it

I was curious what 8 Tac 92 was because I have not been hearing or seeing much traffic for some PD's and FD's in the past few days. Is there some alternate channels or trunking systems they could be using. I though maybe it was enc, however I don't even see the tags show up. LC PD, SO is active for sure

Apparently more agencies did go silent within the last couple of days. Have not heard anything from a hand full. The only thing though I have not even seen their tags light up on the screen. Even though the other local agencies are enc you can still see their tags, just silent. Maybe their are certain types of enc that does not display?
Everything should be back to normal operations. The Sulphur site was site trunking and radios were roaming to Lake Charles and Arsene LeBleu towers. When this happened not everyone could hear all traffic so some agencies went to the 8 Tac channels for temporary communications. There will be some radio reprogramming in the near future with the old Smartnet systems going off line due to hurricanes. There will be a new system coming since we currently have no backups

Has anyone identified that new site somewhere in southeast Lake Charles. I still receive it very strong in Westlake. I don't think its a trailer site.

What new site? The newest LWIN site is Moss Bluff. Do you have a frequency you are hearing it on and I can provide more details.

I would not be surprised if it is a new site on the Troop D tower in Lake Charles.
Those are all frequencies for the mobile trailer site. Last I heard it was where Site 410 was. That tower fell during the hurricane and has not yet been replaced.

Site 410 is the Lake Charles site which is very active and has been up and running not long after the storm. Unless there is a Trailer site not listed in the DB, I don't see any of these listed for the Trailer Sites in the DB

769.3975 is not correct for 700. But I'll be in L.C. tomorrow and I'll see what I can find.
769.39375 is the control channel for Trailer 97. I just confirmed it with my scanner. Not sure where the trailer is currently located however.

Looks like the DB needs to be updated for Trailer 97
I will try to find time to run Unitrunker on it and get all the data to submit.
