Sulphur Police Dept

I was recently told that the Sulphur Police Dept in sulphur, la will be buying a new $650,000 digital system. Can anyone find any details about this. And i guess they other agencys that are on that system will now be out of luck unless they want to go digital also.

Or, maybe it is the same as always. With the exception of Jonfred21, whenenver the subject of Lake Charles or the immediate surrounding area comes up, there is a deafining silence. :x

I mean, I don't know how many times Landman and others have asked for updates from that area, and the response is typically nil.

Can someone help me out please? I just got a scanner from radio shack and i programed the frequncie for sulphur and i only am catching half the conversations, Is there more frequncies out there to catch more. It seems like i am only getting the 911's and some of the police. Is there some for car to car?

I dont listen to sulphur very often but I do have the info from this site and it works fine. I know a couple guys on the SPD and will ask them about the change and see what I can find out. Same goes with LC. As far as I know the freq's from this site are all there is.

make sure you are using the tx frequiencies on the repeater

I picked up a short burst of a digital conversation the other day on the sulphur system. My signal was so weak I couldnt get any more info. The id that was used was 49200. I need to incest in a good antenna so I could boost the signal.
