Hello,

Posted this before in the wrong Forum.
Sorry.

Getting to be a bit confusing at my age.

Is there a "summary list" posted somewhere for the greater Boston area that shows what's been "re-banded" (or will be), or do you have to dig each freq. out individually and check from the RR listings
or FCC lists ?

Thanks,
B.

So far, nothing. (Assuming that Nashua is not part of Boston.)

As a practical matter, the major system (State, Cambridge, City of Boston, Logan) will be widely publicized when it happens.

However, if you want to be able to test for yourself, do the following.

Create a clone of your TSYS and TGs, changing only the offset table (use the pre-defined "rebanded" table in Win500).

Verify that the system works as is with the new table.

Now, one of two things will happen:

A) They will go rebanded without changing control channels, in which case you'll never notice and won't have to do anything.

B) They will go rebanded and change the control channel, in which case your radio goes silent, you look for data using the TSYS Analyze function and hear nothing, and you hit these pages to find out what the new control channels are.

The key to this is the following point: the "new" offset table will work both pre- and post-rebanding. It has been designed this way, expressly so that system operators can cut over their subscriber fleet before touching their infrastructure. As a result, for any 9600 800 SmartNet (includes SmartZone) system, you can cut over to the "new" offset table today: your radio will work fine today and it will work fine the morning after rebanding, save only the control channel issue.

RKG is correct. Nothing as it relates to "M"

Worcester EDACS went last year? or earlier.

Many of the Conventional Cities/Towns have moved.

The Larger agencies will take sometime.
Program new radios, issue them, change the controllers.
Remember MSP is over 25 Zones and 50+ Sites

Bob, will the National Grid 800 need rebanding? I forget

As do I. As a practical matter, they will doubtless activate the "Rebanded" parameter, whether they have to change freqs or not, simply because the "Guidelines" document tells you to.
