On 6/21/08 three men were in the water fishing off Prairie Point at Green Mountain Reservoir when one of the men went below the surface. 911 was called at 17:12hrs. The Summit County Water Rescue Team responded. The search was called off at midnight and will resume in the morning. The 24-year-old male is from Commerce City.

Body Found

SUMMIT COUNTY – The sheriff's office has found the body of 24-year-old Commerce City man who drown in Green Mountain Reservoir north of Silverthorne.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office says a boat with an underwater video camera spotted the man's body after 11 a.m. Sunday.
Searchers had been looking for him since 9 a.m.
He was reported missing around 5 p.m. Saturday. Divers searched the reservoir until midnight.
A spokeswoman for the Summit County Sheriff's Office says the man stopped to swim at Prairie Point Beach following a fishing tournament in Kremmling.
His name has not been released.
