Can anyone tell me if Sumter county public safety is gone silent (DE) ? Can’t understand RR info , on EMS and Fire & Sheriff dispatch, says it was updated June-20-2020 , then it directs me to open a pdf file, would appreciate some guidance on this availability, if it is even open to public anymore. when sumpter county went to 800 Mhz everything moved over to this system and every channel EXCEPT the hospital to ems channels are full-time ENC
I have always thought it was strange that everything is ENC busses, water, parks, etc.

There is not a person in this hobby who does not think all this encryption is out of hand and I believe that I live in the most encrypted area in the county. Lake , Sumter and Marion county

I can usually hear the control channel for this system, but not the voice channels.

I've been to Gainesville in the last few months & still Way too quiet from Pasco to Alachua
I get traffic in Hernando & Alachua Nothing anywhere else Thanks to Encryption
Thankfully Hillsborough, Bevard, & Polk are still in the Clear

So, am I to understand that you do sometimes get voice on 1102 for Sumter Fire and 1107 for the Helo LZ.

no, that's not a good assumption. i'm just too far away to reliably decode the system.
