Does anyone know what frequency or talkgroup the Sun City Sheriff's posse has gone to? I haven't heard them on their 853.9875 frequency in weeks.

I found a news article from March 2014 mentioning they suspended operations due to vehicle insurance issues, but I could swear that I've heard them since then. Just not in the past several weeks.

860.5375, with the 127.3 Hz tone.

I'd like someone else to listen and confirm, so the database can be updated.

Made a test FL (HP-1) for both the two analog (?) Channels (853.98750, 860.53750) both using CTCSS 127.3Hz. I also included the MCSO Sun City West Sheriff's Posse (TG's 62000, 62032, 62064). So I am monitoring five channels. Opened all Service Types just in case.

Getting loud and clear transmissions on 860.53750 that the HP-1 identifies as "Law Dispatch". The addresses are in the vicinity of Sun City (not looking at a map).

Getting loud and clear transmissions on TG 62000 that the HP-1 identifies as "Law Dispatch". However, I don't believe I have heard an actual address, and the transmissions sound like some other type of agency (possibly doing some type of testing?).

Put the HP-1 on "Record". I'll let it run 24 hrs and report.

I just realized that my reference to "Service Type" was a big brain f--t, lol. Of course the HP-1 would report whatever "Service Type" was entered in Sentinel. Thank you for your generous "understanding"!

Hundreds of hits on 860.5375 and 62000.
No hits on 853.98750, 62032, and 62064.

I still see the SC Posse units driving around our area and responding to medical calls with fire. I believe the last one I saw only had a Motorola 800 antenna on it. I'll make sure to look a little harder next time I see one to ID the antenna. In the past their vehicles only had the one radio for them thus only one antenna as apposed to the true sheriff's vehicles looking like South Mountain.

They're now on 860.5375, using the 127.3Hz tone. Why they switched frequencies, I don't know.
