Others with more inside or institution knowledge will (hopefully) chime in, butIs the Superior National Forest still using analog FM or have they switched to P25?
Others with more inside or institution knowledge will (hopefully) chime in, but
my understanding was that LE was the only ones going P25 - the day-day forest NETS, Fire NETS etc were to remain Analog
Gotta ask Which Forests,.There are a couple of national forests in Montana that have started to use P25 for everyone. LE is using P25 as they move toward the directive of having all federal law enforcement use encryption. The NPS is using encryption in a couple of parks, but the USFS isn't there yet, as far as I know.
Gotta ask Which Forests,.
as there is nadda for P25 in the RRDB for the USFS in MT

Can anyone OTA validate this and get them into the RRDB - otherwise it is just speculation [no offense Fred]Off the top of my head the Helena-Lewis and Clark has gone P25. I think the other is the Custer-Gallatin.
Back to off thread: these came from the 2022 National Aviation Frequency Guide, so it is informed speculation at worst. No offense taken! Can anyone OTA validate this and get them into the RRDB - otherwise it is just speculation [no offense Fred]
